The waterproof-breathable membrane is sewn into the footwear as an independent unit, completely surrounding the foot. The seams of the membrane are welded, preventing any moisture from penetrating through the stitching. During movement, the membrane keeps external moisture out while allowing perspiration from the skin to evaporate.
